What Happened to my Tree?!!
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker having a feast on my Mom's tree she planted 45 years ago. Sadly the tree had to be cut down due to the massive infestation. The woodpecker appears to be very happy with the situation though.

The Gathering
Laughing Gulls gathered on the West End Beach in Galveston. It was one of those rare days when the Galveston Bay water actually looked blue instead of the usual brown caused by churned up sediment. The gulls seemed to be talking about also and called a friend down to join the conversation.
