Snow-covered Elk

A lone male elk walking through the snow in Yellowstone National Park with snow accumulation on his antlers. It was so incredible to watch this guy trudging through the deep snow oblivious to snow on his head.

A lone male elk making his way through the deep snow in Yellowstone National Park to the river below. Winter is the best time to visit the park in my opinion. There are very few visitors and it is so quiet and very easy to spot wildlife against all that white snow!

Snow Swans

Trumpeter swans swimming in the warm waters of the Madison River in Yellowstone. What a magical sight this was to watch the snow falling and the swans swimming in the quiet of winter.

Bison Herd in Yellowstone National Park

A herd of bison covered in snow during winter time in the Yellowstone National Park. It was so amazing to see these magnificent creatures covered in snow. My visit to the park was very short due to blizzard conditions. The snow was getting to deep for the vehicle I was in and definitely need the right clothing to be out in this weather.

Yellowstone in Winter
